| The MACK Group, LLC Completes Asbestos Roof and Caulking Abatement Removal Project |
The MACK Group, LLC, a premier asbestos abatement, flooring removal and
decontamination contractor, recently completed an industrial asbestos abatement
project that consisted of the removal of asbestos containing roof materials and
window caulking. The project was
performed at a former manufacturing plant in New Jersey. The MACK Group, LLC (MACK) was contracted to remove and abate over 12, 600 square
feet of galbestos roofing as well as a large quantity of asbestos containing
window caulking. To perform the asbestos removal tasks, MACK utilized trained and licensed laborers
utilizing a combination of mechanical roofing removal equipment and hand
tools. Man lifts and lulls were also
utilized to assist removal and handling of the abated materials. The transportation of the removed asbestos materials was in accordance with
N.J.A.C. 7:26-3.5(d) and by registered New Jersey solid waste
vehicles. Asbestos containing materials (ACM) debris were then properly
disposed at an EPA licensed landfill. Finally, all required OSHA air monitoring, notifications, and all required final air

The

preparation contractor, recently completed a concrete sidewalk surface
preparation project at a mall in New Jersey. The
sidewalks at a major mall in New Jersey required a non-slip surface that also
needed to have an appealing architectural look. The MACK Group, LLC was contracted to provide these concrete surface
preparation services. As
an expert in surface preparation services, The MACK Group, LLC mobilize their
experienced technicians along with their specialized surface preparation
equipment. To perform the dual objective

| The MACK Group, LLC Completes Interior Demolition and Decontamination Project |
The MACK Group, LLC, a premier asbestos abatement, decontamination and flooring removal contractor recently completed the decontamination, demolition and removal of 2 dryers from an active Fortune 500 pharmaceutical facility. The Mack Group, LLC utilized a crew of five trained and safety conscientious technicians to first setup a dust barrier system. The dust barrier system, which consisted on polyethylene sheeting and negative air machines and ductwork, was necessary to prevent the migration of contaminated dusts from the work area into the active clean areas of the facility. Once the dust controls were in place, decontamination of the dryer units was commenced. The chemical powders and dusts that were still in and on the units were vacuumed from the units and properly containerized. The containers of collected chemical materials were then handed over to the client for proper disposal and recycling. Once the equipment was decontaminated, both units were then demolished and removed from the facility. Due to door way and access routes the equipment had to be processed into small pieces to facilitate removal from the facility. The demolished equipment pieces were then sent offsite for scrap metal recycling. | The MACK Group, LLC Completes Large Asbestos Removal and Abatement Project in New Jersey |
The
MACK Group, LLC, a premier asbestos removal contractor also offering the
abatement of mold, lead, biological and chemicals, recently completed a large,
multi-tasked asbestos abatement project. The project was performed for a Fortune 500 company at one of their
manufacturing plants in New Jersey. Prior
to asbestos abatement activities, a 10 day notification was submitted which is
a written notification of intention to demolish in accordance with 40 CFR
61.145 to 61.155 and N.J.A.C. 7:26-2.12(d) and (e). All utilities were also
disconnected. The
MACK Group, LLC (MACK) was contracted to remove and abate various asbestos
containing materials (ACM). The project
conformed to all OSHA and EPA regulations pertaining to ACM and only NJ
licensed asbestos abatement workers performed the asbestos removal work. Estimated quantities of ACM removed were
350,000 sf of tile and mastic, 40,000 sf of ceiling tile, 100ft of pipe, 915
pipe elbows and 500 sf of tank insulation. To
remove the tile and mastic, MACK used a combination of proprietary flooring
removal ride on machines and shot blaster machines that they own in their fleet
of abatement equipment. These machines
allowed MACK to easily remove the tile and mastic down to the original concrete
floor surface. The
other ACM was abated by using proper asbestos wetting, removal and handling
techniques to safely remove the materials. MACK used various techniques to
remove the asbestos materials including wetting of all friable ACM
and bagging the ACM using poly-wrapping. Also utilized was the
wetting and direct placement in lined (at least 6 mil thick liner) and sealed
bulk containers. The
transportation of asbestos and ACM was in accordance with N.J.A.C. 7:26-3.5(d)
and by registered New Jersey solid waste vehicles. ACM was then
properly disposed at a licensed landfill. Finally,
all required OSHA air monitoring, notifications, and all required TEM third
party final air testing was conducted. The
project was completed in 8 weeks without incident or injury. About The MACK

April 2008 - The MACK Group, LLC, a premier asbestos abatement and flooring removal contractor, recently completed a project that consisted of the abatement of asbestos mastic on a concrete floor. The project was performed for a national environmental general contractor at a large private college in Connecticut. The MACK Group, LLC (MACK) was contracted to abate asbestos mastic that was adhered to a concrete floor without damaging concrete. The estimated quantity of asbestos containing mastic that needed to be abated was approximately 30,000 square feet. To remove the asbestos mastic, MACK used a combination of proprietary flooring removal machines that they own in their fleet of abatement equipment. These machines allowed MACK to easily remove the mastic down to the original concrete floor surface without damaging the existing concrete. The company’s main office is proud to announce the addition of Matt Fay as the new Client Development Manager. Mr. Fay brings extensive knowledge and expertise in asbestos removal and abatement services as well as demolition and mold and lead remediation. Mr. Matt Fay is a major part of The MACK Group, LLC’s corporate management team. He is responsible for business development and directly oversees client contact, site investigation, site assessment and estimating and proposal preparation. He is generally the first person to discuss prospective work with the client. Because of his years of experience in the industry, he can advise regarding technical and regulatory aspects of proposed work. Upon award of contract, and throughout the duration of a project, Mr. Fay assumes final responsibility for quality assurance; he makes sure all work is performed as agreed upon with the owner. In 1985, Mr. Fay began his career in the environmental / demolition / wrecking industry where he served as a Supervisor and Project Manager for five years. During those five years, Mr. Fay was primarily involved with the environmental remediation phases of projects prior to dismantlement. In 1989, he was recruited by a national environmental firm, serving in the position as a salesperson / estimator. From 1989-2007, Mr. Fay held positions at four national environmental contracting firms. During that time period, Mr. Fay developed a proven track record which enabled him continual promotion within the environmental industry. Over the last twenty two years, Mr. Fay has been actively involved in hundreds of environmental and demolition projects ranging in size from five hundred dollars to several million dollars.
