<title>The MACK Group, LLC Completes Large Industrial Asbestos Abatement &amp; Renovation Project</title>
<description>The MACK Group, LLC, a premier asbestos removal, decontamination and interior demolition contractor completed a large asbestos abatement project in Central New Jersey for a large industrial client.  The Mack Group, LLC (MACK) was selected based upon their exceptional credentials, experience with projects of this magnitude and their impeccable safety record.MACK was contracted by the industrial client to perform the abatement and proper disposal of numerous asbestos containing materials including 5,700sf of transite, 6,200lf of pipe insulation, 12,000sf of duct insulation and 45,000sf of floor tile/mastic.  Prior to commencement of asbestos abatement activities, several tasks needed to be completed.  A 10 day notification was submitted which is a written notification of intention to demolish in accordance with 40 CFR 61.145 to 61.155 and N.J.A.C. 7:26-2.12(d) and (e).  Water also needed to be supplied, which the MACK used portable storage containers and pumps. MACK also utilized large onsite electric generators to supply all power for the HEPA negative air filtration units used inside the work area containments.Proper asbestos wetting, removal and handling techniques were employed to safely remove the materials. The Mack Group, LLC used various techniques to remove the asbestos materials including wetting of all friable ACM and bagging the ACM using poly-wrapping.  To remove the asbestos floor tiles and mastic, MACK used a combination of proprietary flooring removal machines that they own in their fleet of abatement equipment.   The flooring removal machines have zero emissions and fumes allowing for use in restricted ventilation areas.  These machines allowed MACK to easily remove the floor tile and mastic.  To remove the roofing materials, MACK's skilled and trained asbestos handlers and supervisors utilized manlifts and material handler machines to carefully abate the materials.  Also utilized was the wetting and direct placement of ACM in lined (at least 6 mil thick liner) and sealed bulk containers. The transportation of the asbestos and ACM removed materials was in accordance with N.J.A.C. 7:26-3.5(d) and by registered New Jersey solid waste vehicles.  ACM was then properly disposed at a licensed landfill. The project was brought in ahead of schedule and without injury due to the level of skilled manpower, specialized equipment and corporate management oversight that the MACK committed to the project.About The MACK Group, LLCThe MACK Group, LLC is an expert contractor providing a wide range of services from asbestos removal and abatement to decontamination nationwide as well as Puerto Rico.  We take great pride in our impeccable safety record and our commitment to meeting our client's project schedules and monetary budgets.  Our services include asbestos, mold and lead abatement and removal, industrial and pharmaceutical duct cleaning and biological and chemical remediation, and all types of concrete surface preparation and floor covering removal (shot blasting, terminator sales, etc.).Contact Information:The MACK Group, LLC – Corporate HQ1500 Kings Hwy. <title>Nationwide Mold Remediation Removal Contractor Services by The MACK Group</title>
<description>The MACK Group, LLC provides mold remediation and cleanup contracting services.Mold Remediation BasicsThe purpose of mold remediation is to remove the mold to prevent human exposure and damage to building materials and furnishings. It is necessary to clean up mold contamination, not just to kill the mold.Dead mold is still allergenic, and some dead molds are potentially toxic.Mold Remediation PlanningThe MACK Group, LLC considers the following questions when planning the remediation of mold:Are there existing moisture problems in the building?Have building materials been wet more than 48 hours? Are there hidden sources of water or is the humidity too high (high enough to cause condensation)? Are building occupants reporting musty or moldy odors? Are building occupants reporting health problems? Are building materials or furnishings visibly damaged?Has maintenance been delayed or the maintenance plan been altered?Has the building been recently remodeled or has building use changed? Is consultation with medical or health professionals indicated?Mold Remediation Means and MethodsA variety of mold cleanup methods are available for remediating damage to building materials and furnishings caused by moisture control problems and mold growth. This may include:Wet VacuumDamp WipeHEPA VacuumInterior Demolition - Building materials and furnishings that are contaminated with mold growth and are not salvageable should be double-bagged using 6-mil polyethylene sheeting. These materials can then usually be discarded as ordinary construction waste. It is important to package mold-contaminated materials in sealed bags before removal from the containment area to minimize the dispersion of mold spores throughout the building. Large items that have heavy mold growth should be covered with polyethylene sheeting and sealed with duct tape before they are removed from the containment area. The MACK Group, LLC selects remediation personnel who have the experience and training needed to implement the remediation plan and use Personal Protection Equipment and containment as appropriate. Remediation and Cleanup Final StepsThe MACK Group, LLC makes sure the mold remediation is complete by:Making sure the water or moisture problem is completely fixed.Use of professional judgment to determine if the cleanup is sufficient. Visible mold, mold-damaged materials, and moldy odors will not be present.Via air sampling, the kinds and concentrations of mold and mold spores in the building should be similar to those found outside, once cleanup activities have been completed. We revisit the site(s) shortly after remediation to look for signs of water damage or mold growth. The clients personnel and tenants will be able to occupy or re-occupy the space without health complaints or physical symptoms. We offer our remediation services within the Continental United States with particular emphasis in New Jersey (NJ), New york (NY), Pennsylvania (PA), Ohio (OH), Delaware (DE), Maryland (MD), Massachusetts (MA), Connecticut (CT), West Virginia (WV), Indiana (IN) and Illinois (IL)About The MACK Group, LLCThe MACK Group, LLC is an expert contractor providing a wide range of services from asbestos removal and abatement to decontamination nationwide as well as Puerto Rico. <title>Asbestos Removal Project at Petrochemical Facility Completed by The MACK Group, LLC</title>
<description>The MACK Group, LLC (MACK), a premier asbestos abatement and removal contractor, recently completed a large asbestos removal and abatement project for a large petrochemical facility in the State of New Jersey.  The project goals were to remove a significant quantity of asbestos containing materials (ACM) within a tight schedule. There was a significant amount of asbestos containing materials (ACM) that the client needed MACK to abate.  Quantities of ACM included 6,500 lf of pipe insulation,  175,000 sf of roofing,  9,500 sf of tile &amp;amp; mastic, 6,500 lf of window caulking and various amounts of boiler insulation.Prior to any work, various mobilization tasks needed to be completed.  This included the placement of all required signage on all entrances to the building, establishing connections to electric and water and the building of decontamination facilities. For VAT and mastic removal work areas, modified containments and the establishment of a negative air environment was required.  This included the installation of all temporary electric with ground fault interrupter circuitry (GFI), applying 2 layers of fire rated 6-mil poly on all critical barriers and installation of negative air units enough to create 4 changes per hour.Following setup and mobilization, asbestos abatement activities commenced starting with VAT and Mastic removal.  To properly abate this ACM, the materials were wetted and then removed utilizing chemical and/or Blastrac methods.  All ACM waste from work area through the air lock / waste chamber then directly into 6 mil poly lined dumpsters/ trailers with the proper OSHA labeling and generator labels for disposal.Pipe insulation was then abated.  Insulation within established work areas was wetted and removed.  All pipe insulation outside established work areas was removed via glovebags. ACM waste was placed in 6 mil poly lined dumpsters/ trailers with the proper OSHA labeling and generator labels for disposal. All asbestos roofing removal was performed as non-friable abatement work utilizing dust control methods (misting with hand pump sprayers and/or hose nozzles).  The roofing material was placed on poly sheeting and subsequently loaded directly into polyethylene lined open dumpsters and dump trailers (with the proper OSHA labeling and generator labels) for disposal.Throughout the entire project, all OSHA sampling, recalculation of air pumps, etc.  was performed by MACK's competent person and/or site supervisor, as required per OSHA regulations, utilizing personal air pumps on a worker and analysis by an independent third party laboratory. Results were posted and a copy was supplied to the onsite representative. All TEM final sampling, recalculation of air pumps, etc. were performed by an independent third party, supplied by the owner, as per required regulations.Upon completion of asbestos removal, all areas were inspected to ensure all ACM was removed.  Final inspection tasks included the wet wiping and HEPA vacuum of all equipment and then removal from work area, encapsulate everything in the work area utilizing an airless sprayer.  If no visible dust was found, final TEM air tests were taken.  After passing final tests, the MACK Group wetted and removed any critical barriers as ACM. To complete the project on schedule, MACK utilized an average size of our crew will be 7-11 men. The MACK also utilized various types of remediation equipment including Micro Traps (air filtration units), HEPA Vacuums, ladders, lifts, airless sprayers, respirators, air monitoring equipment, cutting tools, Bobcats, Loaders, PPE, and an assortment of hand &amp;amp; power tools. For Pictures on this project, see Project PhotosAbout The MACK Group, LLCThe MACK Group, LLC is an expert contractor providing a wide range of services from asbestos removal and abatement to decontamination nationwide as well as Puerto Rico.
